Yoga & Meditation
Yoga for Every Body
If you can breathe, you can do yoga! In our culture, there is a misperception that yoga is all about fancy poses. Like doing a one-handed handstand or twisting your body into a pretzel.
In reality, the physical practice of yoga (asana) is only a fraction of the practice of yoga. Being a yogi means knowing how to listen to, respect, and honor your body. Our yoga classes emphasize hearing your body’s “voice.” Everyone has a different body, so every yoga student needs to approach asanas differently. There is no universal “right” way to do a pose, and no judgment. You can go into child’s pose at any point during the practice if that’s what your body needs.
We teach every student to “stay on their own mats” and not compare themselves with others, or what they “used to” be able to do.
Classes are ALL Level unless otherwise noted and options will be provided based on individual needs. Use of props is encouraged. Not sure where to begin? Let’s chat!
