Cooper’s yoga journey began in 2001 when he took a yoga elective course while a student at West Virginia University. He knew that yoga would benefit him in both football and track while at college. In 2011, a friend introduced him to Bikram Yoga. He was hooked. Although he does remember struggling at first and keeping his mat very close to the door so he could make a fast escape if necessary.
After mastering Bikram Yoga, Cooper took his first yoga class with Ben Wisch. He found Ben’s heart language and wisdom, a true inspiration. In 2014-2015, Cooper took Ben’s 200-hour teacher training. He found the yoga skills he was taught also benefited him greatly in his personal training business. As his quest for knowledge continued, he then took Jody Domerstad’s 300-hour teacher training in 2015-2016. This included Reiki Level 1 & 2 training, a restorative certification, and a yin certification.
Cooper has found his passion in teaching yoga. His classes focus heavily on meditation and breath work. He teaches his students that by keeping their mind in the present, they can face life without fear. Cooper is also a football and track coach at St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, a personal trainer, and a stand up comedian in NYC.
He is very excited to share his wisdom and knowledge with students at The Body Image Boutique!

Mary Jo Wood
“I began my yoga teacher training at the same time I started my journey in 12 step recovery. I want to share the gifts I’ve received in these practices. Both continue to show me how to stay open to the spiritual principles in the daily ups and downs of life. It is truly a practice, each day different than the next. Thankfully, it is all about the “progress and not perfection”. Begin the journey and explore that place of stillness where you can connect with your intuitive guidance.”
